How it works

Tap to talk. Tap to stop.

No account, no internet. Set up the keyboard and use it in chats, notes and email.

  1. Switch to Little Voice

    Wherever you want to type, switch to Little Voice Keyboard.

  2. Tap and talk

    In Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) mode, speak Cantonese or Mandarin. For English, switch to EN.

  3. Tap again to stop

    Up to 2 minutes at a time. You can also set it to 30 seconds or 1 minute in Settings.

  4. Text goes into the box

    When you finish, your iPhone transcribes it and types the whole thing in at once.

Honest note

The first time, it opens the app.

iOS doesn't let keyboards use the microphone. So the first time (or after Little Voice has been fully closed), tapping the mic opens Little Voice and recording starts there. Just switch back to the app you were in and keep talking.

The keyboard needs Full Access. It is used only so the keyboard and the app can pass messages inside your iPhone.

  1. Tap the mic on the keyboard
  2. Little Voice opens, already recording
  3. Switch back to your app yourself and keep talking
  4. After that, while Little Voice is on standby, you talk right from the keyboard. No more switching.
What we believe

No network shouldn't mean a brick.

On a plane, on a ferry, traveling with roaming off: your keyboard should still turn your words into text. If something can be done on your phone, it shouldn't take a detour through someone else's server.

  • On-device

    Your voice stays on your phone.

    Recognition happens entirely on your iPhone, using the Whisper Small model built into the app. Nothing extra to download. What you say is never uploaded and never passes through any server.

  • No account

    Open it and talk.

    No sign-up, no login, no data collected. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

  • Your call

    You decide how long history stays.

    Recognized text is stored only in History on your phone. Keep it for 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, forever, or don't keep any at all. Export it, or delete it all in one tap.
