Say it,
and it's typed.
In chats, notes, email and most other apps, switch to the Little Voice keyboard. Tap to start talking, tap again to stop, and the text goes into the box. Recognition happens entirely on your iPhone, even in airplane mode.

A voice keyboard that stays offline.
Little Voice is an iPhone keyboard. In most places you can type, switch to it and talk instead.

When you finish, your iPhone transcribes it and types the whole thing into the text box at once.
The first time, it opens the app.
iOS doesn't let keyboards use the microphone. So the first time (or after Little Voice has been fully closed), tapping the mic opens Little Voice and recording starts there. Just switch back to the app you were in and keep talking.
The keyboard needs Full Access. It is used only so the keyboard and the app can pass messages inside your iPhone.
- 1 Tap the mic on the keyboard
- 2 Little Voice opens, already recording
- 3 Switch back to your app yourself and keep talking
- After that, while Little Voice is on standby, you talk right from the keyboard. No more switching.

The questions people ask most.
Why does it need Full Access?
On iOS, a keyboard and its app are two separate programs. The Little Voice keyboard needs Full Access to pass messages to the Little Voice app inside your phone: start, stop, and the recognized text.
That's all it's used for. Little Voice doesn't connect to the internet, and nothing you say or type is sent anywhere.
Why does it open the app the first time?
iOS doesn't let keyboards use the microphone, so the Little Voice app does the recording. The first time (or after the app has been fully closed), tapping the mic opens Little Voice and recording starts there. Just switch back to the app you were in and keep talking.
After that, while Little Voice is on standby, you can talk right from the keyboard. No more switching.
Does it need the internet?
No. Recognition happens entirely on your iPhone, the model is built into the app, and it works in airplane mode.
Which languages can I speak?
Cantonese, Mandarin and English. The keyboard has two modes: Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) and EN.
Does it cost anything?
No, it's free. No in-app purchases, ads or subscriptions.
